More Chinovi Cosmetic Shadow Swatches

Here's the rest of the shades I ordered from Chinovi. Two of them, Launch and Commence, are from their Grand Opening collection. The rest are all part of their permanent collection.

Shadows were swatched with a dampened wet/dry brush on bare skin. These photos were taken outside with no flash on a slightly sunburned arm.

Closeups, with Chinovi's descriptions underneath. I've noticed sparkly shades tend to show off more when they're not the focus of the photo, so instead of cropping shades out, I'm leaving them in and putting a smaller label so you know what it is. Sneaky, sneaky shadows.

First day is nude with a bright pink sheen

Launch is baby pink with an orange cast and blue sparkles.

Nieces is a peachy pink with a golden sheen.

Last Day is soft lavender with silver shimmer.

Commence is a deep taupe with a purple cast and blue and silver shimmer

Smoke Out is a dark taupe with a pink cast and soft multicolor sparkles.

I hope you've found the swatches helpful, and thanks for looking!

Chinovi Cosmetics Shadow Swatches

I ordered some samples from Chinovi Cosmetics. The 1/4 tsp sample baggies are $1.00, but you can also order 1/4 tsp sample clamshells for $1.25. Full sizes are $4.75 to $5.00 depending on whether you want a sifter.

I appreciate the larger font showing the name of the shadow. Lots of companies use the longer sample bags but with a tiny font. Old folks need large print, thank you!

The sample bags also give you any important info in the top right corner of the label, whether an item is not lip safe, not vegan, or both. Shades that are lip safe and vegan don't have anything listed, which is fine.

Shadows are all swatched with a dampened wet/dry brush on bare skin.

My arm is still a bit sunburned, and yes, it stings a little. These are all taken outside with no flash. These shades are all from their permanent color collection.

Closeups with Chinovi's description underneath

Cloud is iridescent blue with purple shifts and blue sparkles.

Speechless is a very light silver with a slight pink cast.

Cake Pop is an iridescent purple with turquoise sparkles.

Declaration is a soft creamy base that casts slightly pink with blue and red sparkles. It was created as a trio with Freedom and Independence.

Nude Pearl + is a shimmery nude.
cin's note - it's a golden nude, with a sort of light metallic finish. Lovely!

Here's two more pictures, these taken inside with no flash

I hope you've found the swatches helpful. Thanks for looking!

L'oreal Infallible Shadows Liquid Diamond and Smoldering Plum swatches

When were additional shades released? I have no idea! I was at the store last Thursday and noticed the usual L'oreal Infallible shadow display with the same shades, but across the aisle was a second display with more shades. It would've made more sense to put them next to each other. It was on a high shelf and I had to try and move the display without everything falling out. I grabbed Liquid Diamond and Smoldering Plum. I thought about Glistening Garnet but decided that could wait.

Here's the shade chart, courtesy Please note that there are different shades in the USA than Europe and Australia. Sorry for the teeny tiny labels, but I thought it would make it easier than listing them and having you have to count each row to see what's what.

Here's the two shades I bought.

My arm is very pink. I was fishing in the river yesterday and despite repeated sunscreen applications, I still got a bit of a burn.

this pic is inside, no flash

it's much more sparkly in person, loads of multicolor shimmer in melted silver

blackened plummy purple with multi shimmer

I'd like to try Bottomless Java and perhaps Bronzed Taupe, but the store was out of those two shades.

Hope you've found the swatches helpful, and thanks for looking.

Shea Moisture Shave for Women Coconut & Hibiscus Shave Butter Creme

On a whim, I picked this up at Target. $5.99 for 6 oz. It's not on their website, not sure if all the stores carry it or just some.

I shave daily. Depilatory creams make my legs swell up and burn (even the sensitive skin formulas), so they're out. I don't like getting my legs or underarms waxed. So I stick with shaving.

I haven't used shaving cream or gel in years. I switched to shaving soap. I wasn't keen on the idea at first, but quickly grew to like it and definitely enjoy all the money I'm saving by NOT buying shaving gel. I use a Gillette Mach 3 razor, just change my blade every so often.

The directions say: "gently lather creme in hands. Apply thin layer to wet or dry skin. Hold skin taut and gently glide razor over surface. Avoid applying pressure, rinse your blade often, and shave with the grain. Don't expect a lot of foam but do expect a moisturizingly close shave. "

This product doesn't foam, but most shaving soaps don't provide a super lathery foam, even with the shaving brush. If you're used to shaving soaps it's not a big deal. But it is thick and will clog up your razor if you don't rinse it every couple of strokes.

The label on the box also states "SheaMoisture Shave's healing regimen of organic products naturally addressing ingrown hairs, razor bumps, razor burn and dark spots while providing a rich and luxuriously close shaving or waxing experience."

I guess that means you can use it before you wax? Not sure, but I haven't tried it. I only wax my brows. Here's the back of the box so you can see the ingredients.

Note the pink bunny on the box :)

I've used the creme for 4 days and I notice a difference. My underarms feel smoother at the end of the night, whereas with shaving soap I do get razor bumps. They definitely feel more smooth, a better shave than with the shaving soap. My legs feel really smooth. I always nick my knees while shaving but haven't with the creme.

The smell. Hmmm. I can't really describe it. It's a mix of coconut, shea, and the hibiscus scent, strong but not unpleasant. The scent really doesn't seem to stay on my skin, but I wouldn't expect a shaving gel scent to stay on me, so it's fine.

So far, I like it. If I can continue having nick free knees, it'll be a keeper!

Dr Martens Dreama - I need these.

I just saw these on I am in love.

I can't resist black patent boots. They're $300 :( My anniversary is in November, so I know what I'm buying myself to celebrate!!

Glamour Doll Eyes swatches

I placed a small order with Glamour Doll Eyes recently.

The glossy cards included a step by step explaining which shades to use and where to apply, an "eyelights 101", a third showed their most popular shades, another the new blogger collection, a couple of business cards, and lastly, an offer to receive a discount code on any full size jar after purchasing the sample. Lots of stuff, but all informative/helpful.

Ian studied the card showing the Blogger collection. He said he liked Grace's look the best :) He liked her dark hair and big smile!

Sample bags contain 1/8 tsp of product. The bags themselves are smaller than many companies use, but it's the standard amount of product for a sample baggie.

Shadows were applied with a damp wet/dry brush on bare skin.

I should've swatched fewer shades because they're a bit squished, sorry. It made labeling a bit harder, which is why the labels are all over the place in the second photo.

Closeups of each shade, plus GDE's description underneath.

From the Blogger collection - matte greyish taupe with purple undertones. This color was named and inspired by prettymaking.

From the Blogger collection - light tan with purple and blue sparkle. This color was named and inspired by gleamogirljoelle and rusticcomfort.

This color is a medium brown with a low sheen, almost matte, with a tiny bit of gold and green sparkle.

light beigish sheen with with silver shimmer

light to medium gray with a bit of sparkle
cin's note: This color is much prettier in person. It's more shimmery, and a great neutral for everyday wear. It's more beige than gray on me, but this is foiled.

hot pink with aqua sparkles.
cin's note: yes, it's created and named by Phyrra. I had to get it simply for that reason! It's gorgeous, of course.

silvery diamond glitter (unblended pigment). Also, a better view of Hollywood.

hologram silver glitter powder (unblended pigment). Hologram glitter doesn't really photograph well straight on. You can see it better in the above pic, it's unfocused but you can see the super sparkliness better that way.

light pink with purple undertones
