Illamasqua Cream Foundation CF110 and CF115 Swatches

I've had a few requests to show swatches of Illamasqua's cream foundation. This will sound kinda silly, but I'm not exactly sure what's the best way to go about it, since the foundation matches my skin really well, and doesn't stand out in a photo!! If it was liquid, I'd put a little blob on my arm, but that really isn't gonna work with cream.

Here's a pic of the two shades I bought, on the left is the CF110 and on the right is the CF115. CF110 is "white with pink undertones" and CF115 is "very light skin with neutral undertones."

I put a pretty heavy swatch on my arm using the foam applicator, took a few pics, and realized it would be tough to see where the foundation was. I grabbed a jumbo black liner and drew a box around each shade to help you see where it is.

I put the swatches in the opposite order on my skin, sorry for any confusion. The CF115 is on the left, CF110 on the right.

Inside (can't remember if the flash went off, sorry!)

Outside, no flash

I really can get away with either shade. The CF115 leaves me with a slight beige tinge to my face, but it's not enough to make me crazy, especially since most foundations don't come close to matching. The CF110 really disappears right into my skin, and looks like I have no makeup on at all. If you want more info, my review is here. I find myself using the cream foundation more than the liquid since my original review. It took a little practice, but now I find it easier to swoosh on the cream!

I do use the CF115 to help minimize redness around my cheeks. Sometimes I'll apply a smidgen of that first, then go over my whole face with the CF110, other times I'll do my whole face with the CF110 and just dab a little CF115 on the red areas. No real rhyme or reason, just whatever I feel like doing that day.

Hope these pics are helpful to those of you who asked for them!!

Fyrinnae Favorites - Equality, Dinosaur Plushie, Immortality

These are my three favorite Fyrinnae shades....at the moment, anyway! Gotta love the sparkle. I usually wear Equality dry but the other two over Pixie Epoxy.

Top row dry, bottom row over Pixie Epoxy. Shades left to right. First pic inside no flash, second inside with flash. Third pic outside no flash, fourth outside with flash. Click the pics to enlarge.

Equality - Dinosaur Plushie - Immortality

Fyrinnae's Color Descriptions
They're long, but these shades are complex and breathtaking in person. Pics really don't do them justice....so if you don't already have them, go order them!

Equality - Not simply a pearl or an iridescence, this shade, that upon first glance is similar to our Platinum, encompasses shimmer and sparkle of all hues and sizes in a mock-holographic effect. Looks best under indoor lighting, not sunlight. Everything happily exists together to form one beautiful array of colors. Can be an opaque metallic when applied wet, or a sheer sparkly shadow when used dry.

Dinosaur Plushie
- A flamboyant, eclectic dinosaur covered in glitter, perhaps. Name is unrelated to shade...as usual. This shadow is very similar to, but out-sparkles Equality, and is a true bright silver, not taupe-hue. Dinosaur Plushie is filled with much more multi-colored sparkle, some of which can change hue in different light. Transparent over most primers or applied dry (don't apply this dry unless you're going for that all-over disco queen look), but over sticky base, like our Pixie Epoxy, it is a gleaming metallic silver with many flashes of colors.

Immortality
- Literally a rainbow of sparkle in black! Not pitch-black like Fyre & Ice, but soft and blendable, though opaque enough to show off the colours. One of our most striking, sparkly shades, the sparkle hues include pink/red, orange, gold/yellow, green, blue, and purple.

So....is it a bit too over the top to wear all three at once????

4 Fyrinnae Dia de los Muertos swatches

Sorry, the photos from the post have been lost.

La Noche - Catrina Cabaret - Sugar Skulls - Calavera Cupcakes

Fyrinnae's Color Descriptions
La Noche - Deep sapphire blue, dark like an Autumn evening sky, yet gleaming when light catches it.
Catrina Cabaret - deep cool teal frolics with a fun pink-purple highlight and sparkle
Sugar Skulls - Vibrant deep pink, leaning warm but not overly so, with a glimmering orange (not gold!) highlight that adds dimension.
Calavera Cupcakes - glimmering metallic silver topped with sprinkles of vivid pink

Fyrinnae Sugar Skulls, Chaotic Evil, Kitten in Heels, Dark Magic Swatches

Sorry, the photos from this post have been lost.

Some lovely pink shades from Fyrinnae! I was going to title it "pinks" but since people usually search for a swatch using the shade name, I did it that way. So a bit long, but hopefully helpful to anyone looking for a swatch.

Swatches are top row dry, bottom over Pixie Epoxy. Colors are left to right. First pic inside no flash, second inside with flash. Third pic outside no flash, fourth outside with flash.

Sugar Skulls - Chaotic Evil - Kitten in Heels - Dark Magic

Fyrinnae Color Descriptions

Fyrinnae Damn Paladins, Shinkirou, Moon Child

Sorry, the photos from this post have been lost.

A few more neutral shades from Fyrinnae. Note Moon Child is the new version, here's the notation from their website "Formerly one of our Professional Colours from 2006, this was modified into eye shadow form in 8/2010 and added back into the catalogue (and yes the chemist named it for the Gackt/Hyde vampire film). " I loved the original and am so happy it's back in shadow form!

Top row dry, bottom row over Pixie Epoxy. Shades left to right. First pic inside no flash, second inside with flash. Third pic outside no flash, fourth outside with flash. Click the pics to enlarge.

Damn Paladins - Shinkirou - Moon Child

Fyrinnae's Color Descriptions

Damn Paladins - Soft, satiny taupe with a gentle light blue highlight.
Shinkirou - Gleaming, sparkly sheer highlight.
Moon Child - Soft glimmering ivory shade with just the right amount of shimmer, not big sparkle
