Rituel de Fille Swatches

Nothing to disclose, I purchased the product shown.

I purchased the sample pack, 5 samples for $15 plus shipping.  Although that's higher than I'd normally pay for a sample, I always prefer to buy a sample when I can so I'm not stuck with a full size of a shade or product that doesn't suit me.  I picked out one eye soot, one luminizer, one blush, and two lipstick shades.

The company's website states "Each set includes samples of five shades of your choosing, and contains just enough product for approximately 1-2 uses of each. Please note that these are not deluxe or travel-size samples, and are intended only to be used to evaluate full-size shades for purchase."  The samples are on the much-smaller-than-I'd-expected size, but I'm still overall pleased that I'm able to try various products and shades.   They also included a card with a 15% off code, which is nice, and will help recoup my $15 should I go for full sizes.

Photobucket, which is where I usually label my photos, has been uncooperative all day so I tried another site, so the font might be a bit odd.

Here's the sample set, you can see the samples are small.

And here's the items swatched, on bare skin, inside, no flash.

Sigil is an Ash and Ember Eye Soot, described as a warm champagne gold with hint of pale pink.  You can see the pink shimmer to it, but it's much darker than I expected.

Ghost Light is a Rare Light Luminizer, described as a cool toned pale pink and a shift of violet blue.  It's a really pretty shade, and it's creamy.

Delirium is an Inner Glow Cream Blush, described as ripened nectarine with golden highlights. I'm not sure how I feel about the golden highlights but will wear it before making any final decision.

Written in Blood is a Forbidden Lipstick described as a universally flattering blood red.  This is made with carmine.  It's semi matte.  Usually reds described as "universally flattering" or "classic" are always far more warm than I care for, this shade is much closer to what I look for in a red.

Fortune Teller is the other Forbidden Lipstick I chose, described as deep berry red with lacquer like depth.  Also a semi matte.   I really like this shade as well.

Despite the very small sample sizes, I will definitely be able to get several wearings out of each product.  The lipsticks I don't even have to put on to know I love the shades - but will wear them to determine if I really like the formula.  I have very similar shades in other brands, so it'll take a wearing or two before I decide if I want a full size of either or both.  The products went on very smooth and creamy, except for the Eye Soot which was a bit less so.  All in all, I felt it was $15 well spent, despite my initial feelings of the samples being small.

Hope that's helpful.
